The Courtyard's large chocolate fountain

Recently i wrote about the huge chocolate fountain
at Fullerton Hotel's The Courtyard dessert parlour.

It seems really cool, though i never tried it before.

Here comes the bride

The first time i saw a couple wed in Temasek Junior College,
i was surprised.
Why did they want to do that?
I wanted to ask, but i did not.
Merely took a few shots and walked away.

Little did i expect that i would actually do a Lifestyle story
on couples getting married in school - NTU, SMU, NUS.

Click here to read my very first story for the Lifestyle section of The Nanyang Chronicle!

Asian Youth Games 2009

The Asian Youth Games,
or AYG in short,
has officially started in Singapore
on 29 June!

Welcome to the athletes from 45 countries in Asia,
to compete against Asia's best,
and to bond over their passion.

My photographer Jonathan and i
attended the AYG Opening Ceremony
at Singapore Indoor Stadium last Monday
to experience for ourselves,
the vibrancy and energy of the participating youths -
be it performers or athletes,
and enjoy the performances.

When the Singapore team paraded out,
this Malay woman was enthusiastically waving the flag
cheering for them.

It was really cool,
to see foreign journalists typing away
on their laptops,
ready to send in their article
for the next day's papers,

as well as photographers
sweat in concentration
holding their cameras
shooting away the best moments of the event.

Bare your sole 2009

I attended this event at Pasir Ris Park earlier this month.

Benjamin, my friend was the organiser,
and so i dropped by to check out the event.

Do here to read my article
and drop me comments!

It was really cool to see youths waking up so early,
to do their part for charity - raising funds for the needy children
with no shoes, from third world countries.

Though i did not participate in the actual event myself,
i hoped i did a part too

by writing, and telling everyone else

about the needy out there...
